Preferred shift kit?
Just what the title says. I'm planning to freshen up the tranny in my 76 here in a few weeks & want to try something different. The transmission is a TH350 & it's going into a daily driver so a full manual valve body is out of the question. I've looked at a few different kits from Transgo, Hughes, & TCI, but I really don't have any experience with anything other than B&M. Anyone use a shift kit that works better than B&M? I love the firm feel & quick shifts at full throttle,
but on my 25 minute drive to work in the morning I don't want to spill my coffee, lol.

transgo the only way to go.
With a th350 you can make it shift pretty firm going into 2nd, cant do that with a th400 or youll blow the case lugs out.

I got my car running last night, took it for a quick ride. I hate that B&M slap shift. Is it supposed to be so loose? The top of the handle turns a little. Plus I have to pull up on the "release" handle at the wrong times, not what I am used to. I think it's coming out next year. Along with that timing gear.

Ran the B&M shift kit for years in my TH350, worked great.
Currently running the TCI Outlaw shifter now. Love it.
