Re: LIMEYS REPLACEMENT 1977 CUTLASS SALON updated with raccoon pics
same guy made them Rago its just he sold the Weld Wheel name to American Racing Equipment then started his own company yet again but had to call it Greg Weld Inc. and has since passed on about 9 months ago so company is in limbo yet again and then American Racing sold the weld brand so both are in limbo yet again.
And quality wise I would say they are the same I like the design better to these wheels than the Rodlites JUST AN OPINION LOL

Good stuff to know Limey. Thanks! Hopefully someone picks up the Weld brand. Lot of people love the Draglites.
I'd hate to resort to those one piece Summit knock-offs if I end up going that route for wheels.
I remember seeing something about the Greg Weld Inc. being owned by (obviously) Mr. Weld himself & the two different companies thing, but nothing was ever said why or how Weld racing was sold off or who bought it. I guess it makes sense that American Racing owned the company because lately their wheel prices have went through the roof just like Torq Thrusts.

those are some skinny wheels for the front. I like the look of the wider on all 4 corners.

So spill your guts about the Chevy motor. Obviously it's a screamer if you had tunnel ram on it & went with a single plane this time around. Whatcha got in that thang mister?

Honestly the front tires are Waaayyyy too short! The wheels themselves are fine, but I don't care for the front tires. You need to go up in height & possibly drop the front to pull that off. Rears look fine though.
