Purchased new by my parents in Dec 1973 at Gates Chevrolet, South Bend, IN. Dark Red Metallic/Saddle interior/Silver Stripes. Currently under restoration. Very limited numbers produced. Estimated 2500 with very few survivors in restored condition. The short lived SS wagon registry collected owner information and an interview with a retired GM Leeds, KCMO line worker that all US Chevelle plants produced the SS wagon in very limited quantities. "I remember these cars, every so many cars down the line you would see one of these come by. Not many from what I remember."
