Wish I could have gone, always wanted to do the long haul......
But it would have been a 3800+mi round trip for me, and Im pretty sure theres no way my car would have survived,

You plan on going up to check it out? The track is right around the corner from me.
Also did you hear about this Roadkill thing going on Saturday at the track?

I was going until I realized it was Friday. I thought it ended on Saturday. No, I have not heard about the roadkill thing.

On June 18 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., Kansas City will host the Sunflower State’s first hot rod and drag racing event straight from Pit Road at the Kansas Speedway. The car festival will be an event like you’ve never seen before, featuring:
Open-run drag racing with cash prizes provided by TEN and a manufacturers’ midway
Dodge Thrill Rides, which give participants the opportunity to ride along in new Hellcats and Vipers
Show ’n’ Shine area
Live music
Food trucks
Premium giveaways
Special surprises revealed at the event
Kansas City Registration
General admission to the event is free for spectators. Participants may register a vehicle for drag racing and the Show ’n’ Shine at Roadkill.com/Events. Pricing is as follows:
Drag Racing: $50 per vehicle, all makes are welcome, spaces are limited and will go fast!
Show ’n’ Shine: FREE, spaces are limited and will go fast!
VIP Packages: $150 per person and includes one spot to compete in the drag race, personal meet and greet with Mike Finnegan and David Freiburger, photo opportunities, and a VIP swag bag. Spaces are limited and will go fast!
They will have classes for Dodge powered cars and classes for non Dodge powered cars in both the racing and car show. Guess they don't want the GM and Ford guys showing up the Dodges on the strip

They always begin next year where they ended this year. Maybe I'll have to see if I can get the yellow submarine reliable enough to make it next year. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â

Re: 2016 Hot Rod Power TGour.
I made the Austin stop and it was perhaps the most awesome car meet I've ever attended! I only wish I'd had the time to do the whole Tour.
I did meet Derek and see his wagon, it was pretty cool. I saw two other G3s there, one a silver SS but didn't see anyone around them to meet.
I was there with my white 74 Laguna. Bangshift.com was there and filmed one of their segments right in front of it and you can see the windshield forward pretty well!
Now the heat and humidity was another thing. Unbelievable. Thank heavens they had this water tank on the midway where you could get a drink. The media center was open and air conditioned. I think had they not done that, they probably would have had some heat stroke problems.
About the only thing I'm disappointed with the Austin stop is that I was so overwhelmed with the incredible cars, is that I forgot about the autocross! Didn't even get to watch any of that action.
All in all it was amazing,,,,,gotta plan to Long Haul next year.

This was my 4th longhaul and 6th trip. This was was the Mud, Sweat and Beers tour. We had it all. Rain leaving Gonzalas, to the heat and humidity the rest of the way. Had a great time, too bad my Malibu could not make it. And with the heat we endured I'm kind of glad as the a/c is not up to par on it yet. I saw the red car and after seeing a bunch of photos online I have to say it is way better in person. Very nice car. I liked the green wagon and I saw 3 other cars along the way. We also hung out on Saturday morning, ate breakfast, caught a movie right by the hotel and went to the roadkill thing. We were just to exhausted from the week to fully appreciate the event so we left after about a hour and headed on our 800+mile trip home.
