OMG I love it. Id have to return it to the original silver paint. For the 1 of 18, note that he says " of Canada". My Canadian docs also note some low figures for my car as well but I believe it's only in reference to the Oshawa plant's totals, not all plant's totals.

Re: 1 of 18...74 454 4 speed
As I understand it, there are no records of production for U.S. plants. So, 1 of 18 is relatively meaningless. Don't mean to offend anyone, but I've grown weary of everybody's claims that their car is 1 of something. I don't know if the 1 of 18 is based on just the 454 4-spd...or, that in combination with the other options & color combo. But, for most, the addition or omission of one small option can make the difference between a car being 1 of 1000 or 1 of 1. If it had, for instance, a RH remote sport mirror, would that have made it a 1 of 1 and worth twice as much? Not to me. I know a guy locally who has a green '69 Super Bee with a black painted roof. Guess that makes it a 1 of 1 and he thinks it's worth a million bucks...literally. Really?

That car has been discussed before about a year or two ago. I dont recall if it was here or on another forum. I think it was mentioned that it is 1 of 18 Canada built 1974 with those options.

Pretty sure it was on ebay a little over a year ago, and was discussed at length on another site.
1 of 18? Possible in that configuration, I guess. You don't see one like that every day though.
I like it.
But I'll agree with Steve that I am growing weary of the unsubstantiated claims of super rarity.
IIRC GM produced well over 1/4 mil 74s. I'd guess a heckuva lot more than 18 were 454 4 speeds.
This may be one of those deals where they run the entire option sheet and come up with one of 18 number because only 18 left the factory with rear window defrost.

I saw the missing rear bumper filler too. Should've mentioned that in the ad. But note: the Oshawa plant made cars for US and Canadian sales. For example, my car was similar: built at Oshawa plant but delivered to Salisbury Chevrolet in Scotia, NY for US sale. Some states have the close proximity to the Oshawa plant.

BTW: my 2007 GMC Sierra which I bought new from Coley Buick/GMC in Exton, PA was made in the Oshawa, Ontario Canada plant too.

My '74 Malibu was built in Oshawa, for US consumption (specifically: for me); ordered and delivered through Robert Uptegraff Chevrolet in Davison Michigan.

The Marti Report (for Ford products) is notorious for this. Every car breaks down to 1 of 1 if you go far enough.
I saw a Mustang that touted it was the only blue car of that configuration with the optional block heater.
