'75 Laguna Nose ??

Been looking around for a complete Laguna nose, '75-'76. Found a fairly nice one, complete, from what I can tell from some good pictures bezel. grill, chrome strip all appear to be in very good shape, no pitting/dents/scrapes. It is still on the car, guy is parting it out, will sell the entire nose and ship it. I'm in NJ, he's North of Chicago, so trip to go pick it up is just not in the picture!

What would be a fair price for him and me? I still have to cover shipping and paint (it is now black, mt '75 el Camino is silver) once it gets here.

I've sold a couple of these and had a hard time getting interest for anything over $350. But, shipping one was never an option due to it's size and weight...so, my buyer's market was very limited.

Thanks for the feedback, hear you about getting interest in these when being the seller, I have a bunch of parts from a '75 and '77 Monte that I parted out, at certain points you are just glad to have someone interested, sell the parts for basically just about whatever someone wants to pay. Now that said, when looking for certain parts, you are on the other side of the coin, parts like these are hard to find. Last couple of Laguna noses I have seen seem to be not complete, just for the bumper guys want $250-$300 and they have some sort of damage or need to be fixed just to get them painted, then finding the bezels, grills, chrome strip costs runs quite a bit.

I heard back form the guy, we might not need to do the shipping thing, I am in NJ and he might be coming to Raceway Par Car Show and Swap Meet at the end of April, so that works for me so don't have to pay for shipping and the possibility of damage!

Guy is asking what I think is a reasonable high price, open to offers, I am thinking that $650-$700 would be a good price for this nose complete?

Opinions/comments please! :-)

A very active salvage yard in old cars that I go to frequently sold a '74 Laguna front end in very nice condition on e-Bay for $450 about a year ago. Then again, they had the capacity to ship it via commercial truck lines. If this guy hauls it out to the East coast for you, he deserves something for that, too. Maybe $650 isn't such a bad price with that in mind.

I have seen the '73-'74, don't really like the straighter angle than the '75-'76 angled ones. If I am going to go through the work to change it over, want the '75-'76 angled style!

I agree with you on picking the one you want. I also like the 75-76 one better. Was only showing it for a price suggestion.

At first glance, that price seems high to me. BUT. 'Guna noses have been fewer and further between in the last 5 years or so. Lots more folks around now wanting to do the same thing you are. They used to be fairly common in the $250-$400 range.

I'd say if he's gonna bring it to you, strike while the iron is hot.

I'm looking to trade this front end for a pinion flange that fits a 10 bolt rear in a 73 chevelle ss, or a driver side window glass and regulator that fits a 73 chevelle ss, or both if someone is willing.
