Re: Where are you at picture
Thanks for the kind words. g3chevy and myself where talking after the dust settled about how much fun it would be just to build these cars all day. Of course we would go broke, but I think eating and having a roof over your head is overrated. I did have a couple of hours today and worked on something a little easier. I bolted the shocks to the frame and started fitting the modified bumper on. I am using the brackets from our Canadian member and they are awesome. I still have some fitting to do so it's not perfect, nor will it ever be. This car is being built as a Road Warrior, not a show car. Just like they did back in the Daytona days. It might turn out looking like someone bump drafted me.

That has to be a very good feeling. At this pace you'll have that beast on the road this spring.

Re: Where are you at picture
Thanks. I have used them on several projects and have always been happy. My 86 C10 has one now. I need to get it the cross fire cap like this one. Looks so much better than the wires crossing each other. I like how they make them just for your combo.
As for you g3chevy, I just ate another steak for lunch. As for the power lines, in the manual it says, and I quote:
"This distributor puts out a spark compared to a Nuclear Power Plant with a run away core reaction"

I would appreciate it if you can let me know where you get it. Besides looking better, it's much less of a pain to hook up. When I did mine originally, I was only able to find one company making a crossfire cap for GM HEI, and every single distributor I contacted (Jegs, Summit, Pace, etc) were unable to actually get it. I eventually gave up on it and resigned myself to the PITA stock terminal arrangement.

Re: Where are you at picture
Mine came with the Pro Series Street/Strip kit that DUI made for me. I think ACCEL has one for their distributors but I don't know of any for the stock HEI. Don't the caps interchange? I need to look into this for you.
Well, I just looked while I was typing and found this:

Re: Where are you at picture
The ACCEL cap is the one I was trying to track down back then (12+ years ago), and that's the one you couldn't get your hands on. At the time I figured there were problems with it and they discontinued it so I was stuck. DUI only offered the stock-configuration cap at the time.
The Crossfire looks like it would work nicely, thank you! Based on the WHOIS info for that domain, looks like they started in 2010, which would have been a couple years after I gave up.

Re: Where are you at picture
A little more work. I have separated the wires out and mounted the bulkhead together. I have all the wires run to the trunk and I have my gas tank installed with the fuel pump brace installed. I did some more trimming on the floor to get the T56 to fit. I put the seats in to see how the shiftier location will work out. I also started looking at where to mount my hand/emergency brake. Look at the pics between the seats and you will see what I am working on there. Don't mind the goofy looking guy in the seat, that's just me.

Hey. I was about to ask this question in the forum but I will ask you guys here. I need to buy a new power steering reservoir tank/pump assembly. Is this what I need?

That pump looks different than the one I have on my 454. I'll take a pic of it tomorrow and post it.
