Oh, and I might add that I personally think there is nothing wrong with fiberglass repairs.

Regardless of what we see on TV, fiberglass and filler are still common and acceptable ways to patch problems as long as it's not structural, it's done in such a way that it will last and that you advise buyers if you decide to sell it in the future.

I had a 64 T-bird where I used fiberglass to patch a gas tank plate and some spots in the trunk. Metal wasn't available and I didn't have $2000 to pay anyone to fix it.

Im sure that there are some of the members here that is willing to offer advise to those that decide to try and learn how to do rust repairs themselves. It is not that hard as it apperars to be, all it takes is a little patience and time. Simpel tools and a small migwelder go along ways. Doing your own bodywork can be the Key to save cars that otherwise is to expensive to restore. Anyways if any has questions im sure this forum will be happy to help with advise.

Im happy you dicided to save it and i hope you get it on the Road.
