Re: First fire problem
I've been following this thread and man am I confused.
If you have fuel, compression, and spark, your motor should fire and run.
I've never had the problems you're having sir.
May I make a suggestion? Take a step back and take a deep breath.
Now, take
all your plug wires and dist. out of the car. Bring the number one up on compression stroke. Install your dizzy so that rotor is pointing at #1 on the dizzy. Put all your plug wires back on in the correct firing order and pour a little gas down the carb. Now crank it and see if it starts.
I'm not trying to be a smart A$$ in any way or form. It's just that sometime I have to back up and start from square one rather than figure out why things aren't working the way they should. No matter what you're working on.
These are just my suggestions and I wish you the best of luck.
Jeff.....

Re: First fire problem
Got it fired up and broke in the cam.
The cam was out of phase so I pulled the cover and set it correctly.
