Speedometer..
The speedo in my Elco is not reading right, so I'm looking for another one. It's not the round type, just the common rectangular type. Anyone got one in their "stuff " ?
I have a selection of gears for the trans/speedo cable drive etc, but calibration doesn't work with this speedo etc

Re: Speedometer..
Hi Bill, I have one I’ll send you. It was sent to me by a member either here or on ECC for just cost of shipping so I will pass it to you for the same price. I think I have your address but will pm if I can’t find it. The speedo is 120 mph with very little rust but not perfect. I think it has in the neighborhood of 55,000 showing on it.

Re: Speedometer..
Hi again Clai ! The speedometer arrived today, and it' a nice one !! While I have the dash apart etc, I'm replacing the IGN switch, which is on the column.
Yesterday I sent you some money for the speedo !! Many thanks !!

Re: Speedometer..
Excellent. It might be easier to swap the whole thing than to try to swap just the mechanism, but then you'd be changing the mileage too. Post up some pics when it's all done. (Though I guess it will look just like it did before!)

Re: Speedometer..
Hi Clai
The speedo and the new IGN switch are in there. Like you say, it looks just like the old one ! Now I can do the swap of speedo gears, to calibrate the the speed indicated..
The IGN switch replacement required dropping the steering column etc. Kind of a PIA, but got it done...
