Your insurance price is likely due to your age. Try shopping around a bit.

It may make a difference if you are an added driver on your parent's policy, if you get good grades, if you have taken driving classes, etc.- every company has different ways to discount insurance.

However I don't think you'll be able to get much cheaper than what you got except you might be able to find a full coverage policy for that price.

You could also negotiate an agreed upon price for the car in the event that it gets totaled. This is how my policy is set up, and below a certain price is just between my agent and me about the value of the car. Above the price requires a third party certified evaluation of the valuation of the car.

You have a good looking car BTW. Drive responsibly and don't give the insurance company reason to steal money from you just because you are young. Find out about discounts they have and take advantage of them, good luck!

That's actually probably cheap for a 15 year old! I paid around $90 a month depending on what I drove & that was nearly 10 years ago. I also got multiple car discount, good grade discount, & some discount for taking Driver's Ed. Sports cars & 4wds seem to be higher than 4 doors, so you're in the right car for el cheapo insurance.

Could be worse. After my DUI I paid $900 A MONTH to drive a turbocharged 1996 Eclipse convertible. Learned my lesson real quick & haven't drove drunk since.

yea insurance sucks A$$!, ill be paying $1900 full coverage every SIX months!. teenager, male, 1st car, horrible grades. it all adds up and what they call a clasic car makes it worse and what they call a performance car tops it all off. Mad my insurance told me to get a viper insead.

Travis take the title back to them and prove its a truck NOT a performance vehicle as they state it has the initial TK on the title that shows its a truck yours prob will drop by 20% at least

Limey is right. My Elky is listed as a truck and I used to get a break on license plates because of it. I used to get a break on the insurance before I went with Hagerty's, Now it is a specialty car listed by value. JB
