How much paint
How much paint
Ok im planning on painting my 76 malibu... im gonna og with red since it was originally dark red but im doing a red more like GM Victory Red. I am wanting to use the duplicolor system autozone sells by the quart primer paint and clear im thinking 2 quarts of each should do it does any one have any input for me as to how much paint i should need to do this car only the exterior not going into details of door jambs and uner hood and all that. i know its half A$$ but im tired of multi color...

I would go with 3 quarts and I know you said you dont wanna jam it ....bit it takes very little to do that........and the remainder of the 3 quarts use on rest of car.............BUT only my opinion and that aint worth crap

my dad Painted my car using 1 gallon and we still have some left, but i dont know exactley how much of anything

Get a gallon and do all the door jams, trunk, and hood area. keep the rest for any repair work that might come up later on.
