In that case, you better paint some four leaf clovers on it somewhere & get some fiberglass bumpers while you're at it: http://www.usbody.com/ . Or you could just tuck the steel ones & post how it's done so I don't have to.

Pontiac had a cool metallic brown/bronze color around 2000-2005 that would look nasty on browneye-i will probably use that f i ever paint Kojak-Summit sells a color close to it in pearl.

If I stay brown, I'd probably go with something like the Mocha & some Rootbeer accents. Either stripes or two tone. I saw a 67(?) Plymouth GTX while I was in Joplin a couple of days ago that was like a copper/bronze two tone & it gave me the idea.
Rootbeer Metallic

Mocha Frost Pearl Metallic

Like I said, I'm still undecided on a color. I'm guessing I'll be rolling in primer for a while though so I got a while to think about things. Definitely want to be unique & I don't see any of the colors I'm thinking about on our cars.

Those would look good on your car. You said in a previous post that you had multiple colors in the interior- what are your plans for that?

Re: yee haw project brown eye lol
Yeah, I'm racking my brain on that one because the seats were just refurbished before I got it. Problem is, they are black vinyl with blue cloth inserts. I DON"T want a blue car, just not for me. But then again, I don't have any other seats to put into it & they are just too nice to tear apart & redo. The headliner & door panels need replaced (small tear in HL, driver panel falling apart) so no biggie there. The dash & trim is still saddle. New black carpet. I'm going black with everything I replace, but what to do about the seats? The front is a bench seat. I have some gray buckets out of one of my old Eclipses that I could have redone in black vinyl, but then I would still be stuck with the blue insert on the rear seat........ Grrrrrrrr!
This is one reason I've limited my color choices because the only colors I could see going with the interior is blue, black, white, silver, or orange. Like I said before, blue isn't really my preference for an exterior color... it's just bland to me. Black is beautiful, but hard to get right on the cheap. White doesn't really scream originality, but would probably work as a two tone. Silver has always been on the top of my favorites list. Orange is just plain different & screams at you. Hugger Orange & similar colors are shades I don't prefer though. It needs to be closer to a copper, tangerine, or something with pearl in it.

YEEAAAHHH_that Mocha frost is what I'm thinking about for Kojak-maybe a little bit darker bronze ....that color with the black stripes and the black interior COOLEST. maybe some money will grow on the tree out back this spring, then the car goes off to paint jail!

As far as your seats, that's why God gave us interior paint and dye!

Re: yee haw project brown eye lol
LOL, I forgot you're sporting the white. My bad.
It doesn't look too bad on the Goon, but I've seen a solid white Malibu before & it didn't really inspire me. Of course, you just said you wanted to paint your car too, so I guess white must not be to inspiring to you either.
I thought about the dye, but was told NOT to do it because it makes cloth stiff & doesn't look right. I used it before on my 70 Chevelle to go from saddle to black. It looked good, but only lasted maybe 2 months due to poor prep. Also that was vinyl, not cloth. Anyone ever dye cloth with a good experience & what did you use? The one person I know of that has done it told me about the stiffness. Possibly different brands react different???

This car even has a cool stance & a decent wheel/tire combo, but doesn't it seem like something's missing?

AAAHHHH. I'm on FIIYYAAHH,I'm on FFFIIIYYYAAAHHH!!!!!
DAMMIT-burnt again!
I'll get you sooner or later you @#$%$
I've used it on the vinyl and hard plastic more than a few times, DupliColor- Did notice a little stiffness that eventually loosened up- Never tried it on cloth, but you don't necessarily have to use automotive dye. Had a friend years ago that used black fabric dye from a afbric shop that worked well. Also had buddy that got some from an upholsterer that he said did great (I never got to see it cause he sold it soon after)
And both of these were years ago when you couldn't really get dye specifically for auto upholstery.

Do you have a pic of them black/blue seats? Maybe we can deal with some white ones I am picking up in a few weeks? Maybe you won't feel so bad about having white ones recovered. Plus a few extra bucks in your pocket.
HourGlass up here in West Bend only charged my mom $80 to redo her whole interior.... front and back seats, carpet and headliner. I am hoping they will redo the white seats into black for $200 or less.

I have thought about going with the f/g bumpers, how is the fit with them? Do you have to cut in your own blinkers?
