I'm not jacking on disability claims that are legit. I know of a lady who went to a party when she was in her mid twenties, got hammered and two other women knocked her down and took her purse. Now she is disabled at 32 because she has post traumatic stress disorder. never had a job.
A guy a grew up with is a drunk. He likes being a drunk. He will always be a drunk. He is disabled at 43 because he is an alcoholic. It's legally defined as a disease. Never had a job.

Go into a courtroom and see how many people facing criminal charges are on some sort of govt. assistance. Usually a back injury or a psych disability It's darn scary.
A former co-worker who developed multiple sclerosis in her forties was denied disabilty over and over for years. Nearly lost everything she had, and would have if not for her family. She had been paying her taxes since she was 15. She had to sue, and now owes her attornay tons o cash.
