help with turn signal switch???

i havent traced the wire but what does that dark colored wire go to? it sparks when i pull apart the plug at the bottom of the steering column and is causing my battery to die cuz its draining?

The schematic I have doesn't have the wire colors exactly in that order, but basically any wire associated with the turn signal switch is part of the lighting system and that color on the schematic I have is a marker or turn light.

My mouse has a magnifier Razz That wire is to a turn signal.

thats what i figured it was but i replaced the piece that the turn signal screws on to and now when i put my left turn signal on and make the turn it doesnt click back, but when i turn right it clicks back perfect ? is it the canceling cam?

Also check the two little springs in the switch, if one is broken, it won't cancel...common problem, you can get springs at Napa.
