Steering Column
Switching from column shift to floor, Will columns from other years work, or do I have to have the 73-77 GM?

you need a 73-77 column,but stick with chevelle/elky. some of the 75-77 olds and buicks had the dimmer switch on the blinker lever.

76 and 77 were the ONLY olds year's ( cutlass ) that had the dimmer on the blinker handle if that helps brother

yup thats a good price captain, just make sure that the column is for a floor shift car and not been switched to a floor shift car, I had one that some one cut off then bondo'ed over the hole

lol would it be possibe to put a 73-77 firebird column in a g3 car (like chevelle or elky)
i know it will work in a camaro haha but those arent g3

looks okay, decent feedback........pics ain't great though....I probably won't go much more than the opening price though..It's pretty beat up...

looks alright but wouldnt you have to buy everything from the turnsignal switch to the steering wheel
like the lock plate/spring/cancelling cam/ horn contact button and the steering wheel itself?

Nah, just take most of it out of my current column......ingnition and cancelling cam need to be replaced anyway.....

oh haha ok well
i tried to put a non tilt lock plate on my tilt and it wouldnt fit
and i tried to put a non tilt canceling cam in it and bout took my eye out when the lock plate remover tool broke right in half, dumb move on my part haha

let me know if you dont get it for I have a floor shift column complete with key from the 76 but if you can change your turn signal over to make it work that would be a bonus and its red with steering wheel not that you need another wheel my friend

Steering wheel?? Ha, some guy around here sold me a couple.....
Does that fleabay column look right to you? i can't tell much from the pics.

It does look correct but I suspect you will be rebuilding that tilt mechanism it looks worn from the pics ..............I would def ask for better pics of condition
