The guts were swapped into an IA block making a nice 13.5:1 485 cu in thumper.

Sounds nasty on the stand.

Hoping for some single digit runs without the bottle.


Oh , started a new P/T job at Performance Years/Pypes as a tech advisor/sales.

Maybe I can get them to carry more late model stuff, They just did GP(1969-77) catalog and a"big car" one is in the works for next spring.

Lost my mind and put a 301 in a T1000. Guys at HPP loved it and invited me to a shoot-out. Instead of being part of the shoot-out they gave it a 4 page spread!

Love how you worded the T/A. You know, it's just a common thing to find a 400/4sp combo. Wish I had a straight enough body for a black paint job. Those are some nice cars for sure.

Back from the Tri Power Nationals.

The TA did not make it, ran outta time.

Anyway did crew for Spotts FED ( pics above), he got a personal best of 7.13@ 192 mph using all of the track. One run the wheels were up over 100 foot out. His nick name is Iron Balls for a reason.

While we were packing the chute up pulled the Butler GTO that just ran the fastest et and Mph of a Pontiac powered car 6.23@222 mph if I remember correct.

I dialed in the wheelies bars on the FED, left straight but popped (we think) a headgasket. Not bad for it's first time out with a new combo.

By daughter had a blast and wants either a 62 or 64 Catalina to tow HER Jr dragster, I have created a monster!!

She got the royal treatment, hanging in the PY trailer, riding in the tow vehicle for Spotts, waiting at the line when he launched.

We even hung around with Arnie "the farmer" for a bit.

Now we just need to catch up on some sleep.
