I guess I'm the only one here that watched the movies "Rad" or "BMX Bandits"? "Gleaming the Cube" was another 80's movie I grew up with, but it was about skateboards.

The sad thing is at one time or another I've owned nearly all of the bikes in the opening credits. Wish I had some of them left other than just the 2 that I still have.

RAD was a great movie!! i still have it on vhs! my older brother was real big into freestyle when that movie came out, '85ish i believe? he had a lime green skyway, one buddy had a white/purple skyway, another buddy with a pink/purple skyway (yes, he has since came out of the closet), and my cousin with a red GT. we had a big smooth concrete driveway so they were always at our hoouse practicing. funny story but kinda not, my brother is now 39 and about a year ago was hospitalized for not being able to piss. after several tests and scopes they found that he had tons of scar tissue, basically from getting racked too much on bikes and skateboards in his younger days. LOL

Don't say that! I can't tell you how many times my boys have suffered the fate of getting smashed. Hurts just thinking about it.

Rad was & still is an awesome movie. I have it too (burned it onto a DVD) & I let my kids watch it. I don't think they understand it so much, but maybe one day.....

Ah crap, so that's something else I have to look forward to now. I lost my sponsorship after several knee injuries, lost most of the cartilage in my left knee due to over-compensating for my right knee (was still recovering from a torn ACL at the time) every time I had a wreck at the track and at the trails.

Rad is one of the best movies about bikes. I still have my 1986 Kuwahara Bravo kt. I want to get it powder coated because it hot pink which at the time got it was cool but not so much now.
