We asked around, and the locals told us the closest place to by buzz juice was 40 minutes away. Guess we got some bad advice.... Oh well, one sober night was probably a good idea. Smile

All you would have had to do was drive about 10 miles over to the next county, like the residents there do, and get your buzz juice. In one of the above posts a fellow by the name of George Clooney was mentioned. The only Clooney I know was named Rosemary. JB

When I said 10 miles I was taklking in general about that area of the country. I have never been to Summerset, but my granddad was the biggest bootlegger in the history of Taylor County. JB

That's why I mentioned the moonshine...Half the state is still dry, but there are plenty of places to get a little drinky, you just gotta ask the right Billy-Bob.. Very Happy

Runnin' shine and growing weed have been fueling the underground economy in this state for generations. Particularly over in the Mountains in the east.

All of the race car drivers here in the early days cut their teeth "runnin from the law and the revenuers". Some of the best early hot rod modifications came from the shiners.
Right JB?

Right. Sorry 'bout the subject change, We welcome all newbies here. Let me throw in a story before I get thrown off the board. Back in 1957 the Taylor County rep of the State police and the Green County rep had new police cars. They may have been county sheriffs, can't remember for sure. Anyway one bought a new Chevy and the other a new Furd, both with the biggest engines available. They decided to race from Campbellsville to Greensburg. Darn this memory of mine, I forgot who won, but thats the way things were back then. I remember it was a close race. They're probable both dead now. JB
