My freind Jacks.
Jacks '74
1974 AMC Javelin AMX Pierre Cardin edition. This one's fitted with the big 401 cubic inch V8, has all the factory Go Package options, and had the radio and some other accessories deleted at the factory for reduced weight. It's never been restored and is still owned and driven by the original 1974 purchaser. It's a regular attendee at the weekly Garden Grove, California Historic Main Street car show, at which it was photographed by en:User:Morven on Friday, May 21, 2004

Plus we had a amx there.

SUBLIME GREEN JAVELIN

I have been giving some semi-serious thought to putting a spoiler exactly that on the roof of my 78 Elky. Of course the only thing stopping me is I am too lazy to do it. JB

Rago if you research a little bit you will find AMC/Jeep was a silent division of mopar where do think the 360 mopar based motors came from that are in alot of these cars Hense yes they Technically could not called it Sublime Green it is the very same paint color for AMC and Mopar

Chrysler didn't buy out AMC until the 80's. Before then, GM was more of a partner than anyone. A LOT of AMC Jeeps came out with Buick (dauntless) V8's & Buick V6's. Then again, AMC also used Audi 4 cylinders in the Pacer & were using all of the big 3's trannys way back in the 60's-70's, so nothing really surprises me about that company.

I had a 78 Dodge Omni that had a Volkswagon engine in it. Great little car dispite what Consumer Reports said. Half the stuff they printed was a lie. JB

They also said that a stock Suzuki Samurai was prone to rolling over. Mine's lifted & been on steep hill climbs. Funny how I never had that problem huh? I think CR's opinion on a few things should be taken with a grain of salt IMHO.

74chick, I'm liking the white AMX.

Only time I saw it at the show. What got me take that pic(beside the fact there aren't a lot of them out there) is it had a sticker from the old race track we whould go too.
