Re: bumper sink in
we just did it on the SS, the bumper is sagging so we are gonna have to figure something out to get the top to come in towards the grille.

Re: bumper sink in
Anyone ever do this on a post-73 car? I got the 73 bumper (green car posted at the beginning) right next to my 76 & the mounting is WAY different. I could just mount the 73 bumper & shocks onto my 76 frame for now....
but I do eventually want to figure this one out for later models too. I took the front bumper & hood off last night & swear the car sits 2" higher! From the looks of it, I might have to do some welding? Dan, I'll probably bring it down so you can see what I'm talking about. How's tomorrow sound? LOL
If anyone has done it successfully..... please... feel free to do a write up with pics... seriously. Either that or I might end up being the guinea pig on this one.

Stock 1973 Chevelle front end. From the looks of your avatar, you have a Laguna. Surely someone on here would be willing to trade. I almost would just to have a Laguna front for back up. Basically to answer your question though, all Chevelles came with the chrome bumpers except Laguna models which had the urethane front end like yours. There have been a few different methods for sinking in the bumper, check out the sticky in the body section.

The bad part is that it's just down the road in Claremore & the current owner is a member here. He signs in & looks around, but has never posted or kept us up to date on it.
