custom dash/console

i was thinking of making a custom dash and center console. round sweep guages, or digital dash. and console like on new cars coming from the center of the dash all the way between the front bucket seats i will be getting. dash like tony lloyds unsung hero 73 chevelle.

Why not? If that suits you, then go for it. It will make the inside of your car less boring, but how hard would it be to put your arm around your sweetie? JB

I just threw a 96 Auto Camaro Console in my 70 for now. Modded it to work with the B&M Shifter.... I did paint it black now tho its not in the pictures.

man hydro king, i'm loveing those gauges. Making that boring cluster look way better with those on there.

Those gauges do look sick. I am thinking about putting a custom dash in my car too, i was wondering how much work this would entail? and what would be the biggest problems i might have? Any feedback would be great, thanks!

So, I'm thinking of scrapping the whole original dash and using it as a frame for a fiberglass fabrication. Anyone have any experience with this? Also, does anyone have measurements of the dash? I've got the bezel in the garage, but am unable to actually measure it right now. My car is undercover which is under about a foot of snow right now, so any help would be appreciated. I just need WxLxH. Another idea I had was going to the junkyard to find a newer model car and yanking the dash out of that (possibly a non-Chevy model.)
