Front passenger door/skin for 1975 station wagon

Post by dhw3971 on Thu Oct 14, 2010 2:01 pm

Looking for a door or door skin for my '75 station wagon. Front passenger door. Anyone have a line on this item? They aren't really easy to find, I'm discovering. I'm located in Gand Rapids, MI.

Hmmmm.....now that's an interesting idea! REally, all of the doors could be replaced due to some 20-year old rust repair work that is showing its age. But that dented door is certainly the worst one.

I don't think I need an entire parts car, just a door (or four). Do you want to be rid of the whole car or are you willing to sell parts of it?

What is the wheelbase on the wagon? I assume it is the same 116 inches as the Elky? JB

A crazy idea of mine that has been lurking in my mind is take the wagon and sell the body parts and save the frame and cowl area and use that to build a 4 inch shorter frame with full roll cage and put the USBODYSOURSE fiberglass complete body on it. The body itself serves as no protection, so the roll cage/frame will have to be like an ASA roundy round car. There are some great ideas there at Circle Track magazine. JB

I did find a door at Bud's a few weeks ago. It's rusty but generally in better shape than the one it's replacing.
