Sad day

Post by mal76ibu on Sat Oct 16, 2010 10:04 am

Well my daughters Malibu is gone, She was coming home from school and another kid pulled out in front of her. She had no time to brake at all. Ploice were actually sitting there when it happened. She had less then 15ft to react at 40 mph. Everybody in the car is ok, but the car doesnt look good.

Well shes fine, bruises are still showing up, She is determined to find a donor car and swap the goods over and paint it green also. Engine swap will be a lil tricky, my ace mechanic (dad) has a job out of state so that part will have to wait.

About 10 years ago a friend restored/freshened up a real nice mid 80s Chrysler New Yorker and I bought it from him for well over market value. The same thing as above happened about a month later. A guy pulled out of a parking lot trying to beat my daughter. The car was totaled and the insurance company gave me market value of the car as a privite owner car. This amount is exactly half the amount of bluebook on a dealer's lot. I got screwed twice at the same time by the insurance company. JB
