So who wants to slap MCR? Read the black box under the Laguna pic & you'll see why......

I Emailed them this:
Here's the response that I received:
Anyone got a good enough stock-ish Laguna/Chevelle for a feature car? If so Email this address:

Sometimes it does pay to let these guys know what you are thinking.
To the people of Musclecar Review. I opened up the October 2010 issue only to find something very disappointing on page 74. In a caption it mentions a Monte Carlo Laguna S-3. The picture is a Laguna, but I'm sorry to say that there was NEVER a Monte Carlo Laguna! Lagunas were based off of the Chevelle/Malibu. Sorry, but those two cars have completely different body lines & wheel base. Just felt that I needed to correct that mistake. Maybe you could do a feature on a Laguna or post-72 Chevelle to make things right?
Here's the response that I received:
Hi Justin,
yes, several people have pointed this out. And you're right, we should do a feature on these cars. I'll be on the lookout for a good one to feature.
Thanks,
Drew

Re: Monte Carlo Laguna S-3!?
LoL, yep but usually magazines want it to be show quality when the do features. MCR would probably want original or close to it given that's what they cater to. Bobby's might be a good example even with the new motor. I know of a sweet SE if I could ever get in touch with the guy again.

Mine isn't quite up to snuff for a magazine feature, maybe someday. I do appreciate the sentiment however.
Still have a lot of work to do on the interior and correcting some poorly done body work.
Best example I've ever seen is Butcher's car over at Doc's Chevelles, but he's already been featured in Hemmings.
Either way, it's groovin' that you have prodded yet another mag to cover some sort of G3

Re: Monte Carlo Laguna S-3!?
I'd honestly be happy to see these vehicles featured:
73 GTO, 442, SS, or GS
74-75 H/O 442
77 SE
A good spotlight on 73-76 Lagunas with the history & CORRECT year to year changes.
The Can Ams have had several featured. It seems like that was the only G3 not to fade from the spotlight.
Oh & for once have one featured that doesn't mention how heavy they are. Total BS & I intend to blow that myth out of the water with my 76.

Re: Monte Carlo Laguna S-3!?
Meh, my car looks pretty alright, but I wouldn't really care to try and get it into a magazine. I'm gonna build mine the way I like it, and not put together a car just for getting in a magazine, if that makes sense.

Makes perfect sense. Why build it to someone else's tastes when you are the one driving it?

Rago,
I saw this elsewhere, too ... and STILL CANNOT BELIEVE that magazine made that error. I mean ... how hard is it to check facts? Are the editors/writers not even car people?
Bah...I'll stop typing now...LOL!
