door lock actuator?

Post by coreys73chevelle on Sat Feb 05, 2011 7:56 pm

ok not a car but its a G3 GM lol, my burbans power door lock switch on the drivers side wont do anything ( i replaced it and still no good) BUT i can and have been using my passanger door lock switch to lock/unlock my door and it lock and unlocks all of them INCLUDING my driver door. Do i need a actuator? seems like the only thing it can be? wiring all looks good.

take off the door panel and check to see if the connection is good.

The fact that your passenger side switch will operate the driver side lock shows that the actuator is functioning. It's got to be an electrical issue...possibly a broken wire or bad connection at the switch?

Yeah I'm saying switch problem. Try swapping the two switches around & see if your driver side will work hooked up to the passenger side switch. If so, then you know your problem. Shouldn't be too expensive to replace.
