Your input please....
Golly I just love tax refund season,
This year I'm going for one of the two hoods pictured below, which do you think would look the best on a 76 'Guna?

Above is pictured the VFN Fiberglass 4" bolt on at the price of $450
and

This one is the US Body 4" bolt on coming in at a whopping $750
Personally, I am leaning towards the VFN hood not because of the price but rather the way the scoop goes all the way to the front edge of the hood. Seems like the flow with the body lines would be better that way.
What do you folks think?

Get the US Body one because I want to get the VFN hood someday. IMHO the VFN looks better.

Re: Your input please....
every one I have heard that uses US Body source has alot of fitment issue beyond the normal prob assoicated with Glass hoods ALL GLASS HOODS WILL RQUIRE some fitment due to the nature of the Beast.
But I would Trust VFN BAR NONE over US Body source even if I didnt get a discount

Re: Your input please....
I plan to get the VFN 2 inch cowl if i dont find a metal 2 inch cowl hood to play doctor on. I want a metal cowl hood. Since i dont have the steel front bumper. I dont have to worry bout any weight issues in the front.
I think the VFN does go better with the body lines too.

Re: Your input please....
I may need a hood with a "bump" or whatever, to make room for my aircleaner. I don't want an open-ended scoop type cowl hood. It would be full of snow in winter!
A 2-inch bump would do the job I think. Maybe some surgery coming on my steel hood. I do have an extra hood that's kind of rusty, to experiment with.
Appearance-wise, I like the bottom one, but way too expensive and possible quality issues like you folks mentioned. I'm more inclined toward a subtle raised center for clearance as opposed to a high cowl design.

Re: Your input please....
I'm not really a fan of cowl induction hoods on these cars, but if I did have to go with one, I'd say use the VFN one for the reasons posted above. Oh, and I'm impressed with the fit and finish of the one that Limey linked. It fits better than the stock hood on my car
