WANTED: 1976 Chevrolet Laguna

This is a long shot...but I'm looking for a 1976 Chevrolet Laguna. I am looking for a car with no rust and hopefully a console shifter. If you have one for sale or know someone who does PLEASE let me know. I had one that was stolen 9 years ago and have been trying to replace it ever since...

No other years and no white cars, please.

That sucks about it getting stolen.
I had a 1974 Chevelle Malibu that was stolen out of my driveway, two days shy of having it for one year. My dad and I worked on it all winter restoring the engine.

My "stolen" story is almost more of a story about a young guy having too much trust. I share the blame somewhat; but regardless of fault - I miss my car!

Don't know if this will help or not.. could be out of business by now for all I know, or sold the cars. There was a place in Mt Vernon, WA, that towards the end of last summer had three of them, a 74, 75 and 76. I bought the 75, the 74 was white/red and the 76 was a triple black with somewhere around 80k original miles. The car was a SB400, don't remember about the power accesories, but did have the swivel bucket seats/console. The car was at the stage of needing to be gone through, all of the cars came from the same person which I was told was a collector, and at one time had 15-16 of them, but tired of them and sold them off. The name of the place was Motor City USA and the number is (360) 416-4995.

You know, it's terrible to be a native Texan, but currently in Ohio. There are 3 Laguna nosed cars for sale there right now and I'm stuck up here. Got some time off coming, though...and my trailer tires are aired up...I might just be the owner of 3 76 laguna nosed cars and 4th laguna nose.

I haven't looked at the '75 but it's a desirable 400 and it's in your backyard.

Or you can talk about finding the needle in a haystack with a 305 in it from BFE.

There is always another one out there. It takes time, patience, and money to find the right car.

This guy and I have spoken quite a bit now...I'm seriously considering this one.

It still needs the trunk pan welded in; and I'm not really in a position to do body work...but if nothing else it'll be a good parts car. I think it'll wind up being a good driver, though...


BTW - How hard is it to change the rubber strip in the front nose from black to white? I'm meaning both finding the white rubber and the labor to do it.
