There was rust in the fuel system.
It didn't run consistently, and probably wasn't going to.

Man, relace the top and ask another $5000.
That's another Craig's List jewel...

There seems to be a lot of these "flipper" guys out running around.

They buy a car cheap from someone desperate for money because the economy isn't that great, then slap on some parts and try to sell it for
"book".

That works, unless you buy a car you don't know s**t about. Sounds like these guys are a couple of amateurs.

maybe they are watching too much "Amereican Oickers" or "Desert Car Kings" Very Happy

The trouble with buying a car that someone "just happens" to put a new vinyl top on makes me wonder what, if anything, is below that vinyl. Aint I a nice guy to be thinking such thoughts about other people? JB

Yeah he sold it & bought a 90's model Caprice. He is a member on here by the name of MallyMalS3. Good kid that listened to our advice & used it. I haven't talked to him in a few months, but it did sell. All in all, that would have been the Laguna to own. A mostly original 400 car that had been taken care of.

Found a couple more for sale in case the other one doesn't pan out.

76 & 75, both for $1,000. Rough, but hard to turn down two complete cars for this price - http://macon.craigslist.org/cto/2198021133.html

$2,100 obo. Red on white 76 Leg Hump - http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/2238222063.html

Here's some 75's if you want to swap over the taillights

Gold $6,500 - http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/2240966711.html

White $4,500 - http://westmd.craigslist.org/cto/2261180076.html

Most everything else that I found was WAY too much for what they had or didn't have pics.

I'm trying to find someone in Maryland that could maybe go look at that white one for me. It's a 450 miles one way to that one...and I'd like to have some eyes on it before I make the trip.

The gold Indy one needs total restoration, and the red/white one I'm still considering.

Haven't seen the Macon ones yet, though...I have to wait till I get home cause the work computer blocks craigslist.

Here you go. Like I said, they are rough, but you could probably part one out to make most of your money back.

I have two Chevy Laguna Coupes. One is a 1975 and the other is a 1976. The 76 is a parts car only. It has 350 engine, good hood and front nose. The 75 has a great body and interior to restore. No engine or transmission in the 75. Both are automatic with column shift. Price is for both cars. They will need to be trailered. 478-994-8045 or 478-319-4385

OK - so I finally got a 76 Laguna project.

But - I'm still looking for another 76 Laguna or a 76/77 Malibu 2 door.

I'm in Kansas now, just west of Wichita...

Thanks again,
Zach
