New Member from switzerland
Hi all - my name is Cees (pronounced "Case") and live in Geneva, Switzerland. I would like to own a early seventies El Camino and will be browsing here for general education.

Thanks for all the welcome words guys - I will certainly check out elcaminocentral.com
Yes Leike, I am Dutch indeed. Are you by any chance also on SL113.org? There's a Leike there as well.
I hope that, before too long, I will have found my own El Camino and can start contributing what I can here (initially it will be more learning I'm sure though)...
Switzerland has traditionally had lots of American Iron, so I'm not ruling that out either.

Re: New Member from switzerland
As I just posted in another topic, yesterday I did buy my own El Camino - it's the 1973 'My Name is Earl' one. As soon as I can get my hands on it (currently planning to pick it up in person, in a couple of weeks) I will start asking questions (of course, after using the search function ...). So to be continued ! My 12-year old son, who I watch the Earl series with, and I are really excited and even my wife was in full support so what more is there.

Hi - yes, it's that red-with-the-blue-door one in 74chick's picture.
Leike - it is indeed another Leike on SL113.org. I will keep the car exactly as-is (except for normal maintenance of course) but change nothing to the appearance. Will be interesting to see whether there is any rust that the authorities here would want to see fixed, or that dent in the driver's door, before they issue a new title. For the door, I would just see about loaning one temporarily
I will upload photos when I get the car over here.

Thanks Pila - those Swiss watches ...
Right now I am in the middle of arranging the logistics, but should have that worked out soon. Already ordered a bunch of shop manuals, owners' manual reprints and so on, so I'll be ready when the car makes its way over here.
