Factory Tach Wiring?

I am helping my brother with his 74 Laguna getting it back on the road. He is putting in a ZZ4 crate engine in it, which has the HEI in it. He has it narrowed down to a couple of wires that could be the tach lead but we're not real sure. I checked the stickyed wiring diagram post and it looks like the wire we want would be white with a black stripe, but neither my brother or I remember seeing a white/black wire in the harness. Does anyone have insight on this?
