'38 Graham

Post by Mcarlo77 on Thu May 05, 2011 5:29 pm

This one's for you, Kyle!

Everyone...I know this is a G3 site, but I can't resist posting some pics of the more unusual antique cars that have arrived in one of the yards I frequent. I was told this was a 1938 Graham "Shark Nose". This was one of eight this yard got in over the weekend from some guy who was clearing out his chicken coups of old cars. Three of the cars came with Supercharged engines...which are still in the cars.

HOLY HELL.

Not often one of these pops up!! I love these cars!! A friend of ours has one (and about 50 other cars, no joke) but I haven't seen it. One of these would definitely be worth restoring.

Thanks for posting this! Oh, and if any '46-'48 Plymouth pop up too, you know where to go Wink

Yeah...makes you wonder how many farms still contain a collection of these old cars stashed away in some old barn, outbuilding, chicken coop, etc. This guy was into Kaisers, AMC's and Packards. They got a '52 Kaiser as part of the lot where the backend opens up in two positions. Top half like a hatchback...bottom half like a pickup tailgate. Then, the license plate holder folds forward when the lower tailgate is down so it's showing at all times. Amazing!

Was the Kaiser blue? I've seen that one around Ypsi, It's owned by one of the pawn shop owners on the east end.

I think it was...

Were you at the 2010 show in September, by any chance? I had my Plymouth it in.

WTF, is that a woodie right in front? Man all i see in the yards in my city are mid to late 80's thru early 2000's junk cars (one particular yard, at least half the yard has 70's and 80's vans)

It's a Jeep wagon. Not sure of the year. Thought I had taken a pic of it, but apparently not.

Wow (jaw drops). I'm no great expert, but that looks like one complete restorable car. I love the styling. Those old prewar cars are interesting.

I've got to find me some more interesting yards to frequent, the ones around me are late late model where even my 95 Explorer is on the old side of what they keep around.
