Suspension upgrades

Post by wokrdan AKA BU Balls on Sat Jun 18, 2011 8:56 pm

After looking at the stock control arms on my 74 Chevelle, I would like to upgrade to a set of tubulars for the front and rear. I could probably blast and repaint the ones that are on it right now, but would like to save up and get new ones on there. I have looked at kits on OPGI and Summit, but most are looking at $3-4K to upgrade. Are there other sets that are compatible with our cars that are cheaper?

If at all possible, I'd like to hit up a junkyard for possibly a late model Monte or other car that I could get them off of.

I dont know about cheaper, but I like Edelbrock suspention parts (as well as just about everything they sell). They are not cheap, but I am pretty sure they are cheaper than a lot of others. They do a lot of testing and engineering on their stuff to make it better than before and that costs money. I would also be curious as to where their parts are made. JB

Global west has the best stuff I've seen for our cars. Again, not cheap, but damn nice.
