A running, driving black 455 H/O for $3,000? THAT'S A DEAL! Remember that there was only about 500 black 75 455 H/O cars even built. The 1193 number comes from these numbers:

A total of 2535 were built, as follows:

Engine Units
455 - 1193
350 - 1324

Color Units
White - 1293
Black - 1242

Doing the math gives you 584 black 455 cars which may or may not be correct.

I would tend to believe those numbers. The survival rate is also very low. I've seen mint ones before every now & again...and by mint I mean like $25K asking price.

Typically the 75 black 455 H/O is one of the more collectible G3 cars out there. Right up there with the Can AM, The Free Spirit, The 455 GTO coupe (rarest of them all), The GS Stage 1, & the SE.

The 455 GTO was 73 only right? Then they made one out of a X-Body in 74 then not again until 2006/2007?
