I have a 540 Dart Big M in my 74 Elky, but built it struictly for a fun street machine with low horsepower for ease of driving. Just guessing, probably around 550 or 575 HP. My engine builder tried to talk me into making it 572 c.u., but I knew it would have plenty of torque for my purposes so I told him 540 for quicker reving and I was RIGHT. Bout time I made a right decision! It has Edelbrock RPM heads and air intake and Comp roller cam with MSD ignition and Comp headers. I was stupid for spending that much money, but ya gotta splurge once in a while, right? JB

go big or go home.... right? i had a 496 in it for a while but i needed to be over 500ci (everyone else was.... why not). i have not run it at the track yet. not in a real big hurry, i raced the car for years prior to this last build. im going to be seriously traction limited to get a real fast et. i built it to drive it and it is stupid fast on the street. still havent hit the nitrous yet affraid should be fun when i do Very Happy

Comon now...give it just a "little" squeeze! I would love to hear what your car sounds like. I've got the big block in mine, rectangle port aluminum heads all port matched going out 3" stainless pipes through Borlas. Sounds awesome. Im gonna post some avi files on here of my car as soon as it comes back out of hibernation for the season. You should post some video footage of yours too!
