Laguna S3 Opera Window Louvers - on a vinyl top car??

Hi Guys - I have the opportunity to buy a set of 1975 Laguna S3 window louvers for $100. My question is, my car is a 74 S3 with a full vinyl top and my opera windows are in need of that trim kit that goes around the openings. I'm thinking the louvers would look pretty cool - will they fit?

yes they will fit per say but, you have to take the inner panel off, then you have to precisely drill two mounting holes to let them fit, then to secure them with the two inner screws, then reattach the inner panel sit back and enjoy

Keep in mind the louvers have fingers that also slide in between the body and the window glass to aid in holding it on. I can't remember exactly but with the vinyl top, we had to do some cutting on the edge of the top around the window and grind/sand on the louver fingers (massage) to get them to fit... It will be a tight fit with the vinyl top because it was tight on a standard hardtop.

Just out of curiosity...would these be able to be attached with double sided foam tape?

they could but you would have to break of the screw mounting tabs that go thru the body to attach on inside of car behind inner plastics

If I were doing this...that's how I would do it. I wouldn't trust myself to drill the holes and do it all correctly, lol.

Would be cool as hell if Laguna louvers could fit Montes.

It would be a really cool custom, for maybe a 'pro touring' Monte.

I have to as well but My vinyl top is already and I DO NOT plan on putting one back lol
