ELKY LIMO
We have to thank Bangshift.com member Mr4Speed for this amazingly awesome eBay find. It is true perfection. A 1976 El Camino limo, one of three actually built and the longest of the troika. It the reverse mullet of cars. Business in the back, party in the front.
It was actually listed last week at a starting price of $3,000 but the owner is obviously interested in moving this bizarre creation as he has relisted and dropped the starting bid by a g-note, down to $2,000.
If you are planning on going to your local Halloween party as a redneck 1970's pimp, this is the ride you need to have to totally capture the theme. Do it!

Cuttamino
found some old pictures taken at a car show in Nashville back in 96 or 97. There was a guy there who had a 76 Cutlass "El Camino". He said that it was some type of engineering prototype. I copied the VIN number and sent it to Oldsmobile and got a letter back which I still have, saying that the car was just a 76 Vista Cruiser 2-seat????? As to whether it was indeed a prototype for sure, who knows??????, but it was one of the slickest conversions I have ever seen. Who ever built it went to a lot of trouble and a lot of expense to make it correct. I never saw it again in person, but if my memory serves me correctly, I think I saw if for sale online a few years ago, but I can't be certain of that. At any rate, it was a sharp car/pickup and if Olds had built them, I think they would have had an easy time selling them. Check out the pictures

Re: does anyone remember seeing these any where??????????
That blue '73 wagon is pictured when it was sitting in Dan Schaffer's showroom in Decatur. It still tweeks me a little because I looked at it before him.
It had a $4000 asking price, and was in nice condition. It had a dent in the RR quarter and needed a paint job.
Magically, it shows up in his showroom with a re-spray and it's suddenly a COPO barn find with a 25 thousand dollar price tag....
What a load of BS. Oh well, can't get them or keep them all.
Has anyone looked at the Elky Limo? Curious what the interior was like...
Thanks
