Do you guys know who made your caps? I'm thinking about ordering one off of Coverlay....any thoughts there as far as quality? There are a few of these manufacturers out there and I'd like to get one that doesn't suck.

I got two from EC parts and they were both REALLY bad around the vent openings. I'm sure they were from the same manufacturer, but I don't know the name.

Here's my deal - If you only have $100 to play with, it'll probably be better than a wrecked dash. However, if you're eventually going to do it the "right" way, you'll never get that $100 back after it's installed, so why waste it? I've wasted way too much money redoing things that I half assed because I didn't have the money at the time. My thought now is that if I don't have the money, I'll wait till I do, and deal with whatever the situation is for the time being.

Mine has the sticker on the back from Accu-Form. Everything looks good, except that it didn't reach to the windshield and they used bolts instead of the 2 sided tape. Instead of painting the original dash (herein referred to as O.D.) black to match the cap, they decided to paint a 4" strip ON THE WINDSHIELD to hide the green dash!!! It didn't fit bad around the vents, but they did spray some black on the O.D. around the vents. If the dash cap color had matched the O.D. color, most of this painting would have been unnecessary. It's really too bad they didn't have the brains to make it work, because the dash cap install could have turned out much better. But, now I have it to donate to a needy car, so I guess it all works out in the end.

Not sure where mine came from, it was on the car when I bought it.

Mali come by and check it out if you'd like, is your car an AC car?

Toms454s3 wrote:No offense but it looks like I'll have to stick with what I have until next summer I did not want to spend more than $100 on one. Besides before I would spend 4-500 on a used one I would want it in the right color and local to be sure that no cracks show up in shipping. Also who knows, a used one could quickly develop cracks once exposed to the sun.

Best bet may be to bite the bullet and send mine in to just dashes?
