Switching to posi carrier (making sure I got this right!)
I have a 77 malibu non posi rear that I would like to change to posi. I want to make sure I have this right especially with the spline 28 or 30.
The Posi carrier I have is out of a 79 trans am series 3 that had 3.73 gears on it. I will be buying 3.42 gears for it and the instal kit. My concern is spline. I'm sure the 77 non posi axles are 28 spline BUT is the posi carrier 28 or 30.
