Buick Regal...what the?

Sometimes I'm a bit slow....I never noticed this before but 73-75 Buick Regal has a Monte style body & 76-77 is all Cutlass...What's up with that?

Yeah I like them both too but that 76-77 Regal is really sharp .A guy in town had a White on White one when i was a teen . Really nice car.

Off topic - I had to do a double take on the car in the first picture - took me a few seconds to figure out why: it's parked on a street in Amsterdam I bicycled through every day on my way to work for a few years. Small world ...

i always liked the 76/77s. i had a 76 with all the goodies. someone needed it more than i did. never saw it again. that was in 1991

only thing i can think of is that they rushed to keep up and just used a basic shrunken b body design till they did a redesign to keep up and prep for g body but its just my thoughts
and 76-77 look alot like the rivs of same years too

Actually the Cutlass went through the same thing. Look close no parts interchange from a 75 to a 76. Monte and GP stood pretty much the same though .

Yeah they got "smoothed" over. But you could still tell it was a Cutlass lol.
