Spoiler looks terrible...top is decent...better than the sunk in bumper, though. I do not care for that look, at all...

that someone would be correct. this is no pontiac big block. the 455 shares the same basic block as the 350, 400, 428 and others.

Correct....even the 326 is the same outside dimensions....
I've rebuilt a 347, 389, and a 400, but haven't done a 455. Seems like the '55 was a 316 CU IN, if my memory serves me right....(?) and then there's the 421...they sure had a lot of different size engines...... Smile

Ok...enlighten me. If it was the same dimensions as a small block then how did they get the 455 CI measurement? Was it just larger heads that mad up the extra 100 cubes? scratch
