New from Kentucky
Dropping in to say greetings from central Ky. Knee deep in working on my car at the moment. 73 SS factory 454 with air, power windows, power locks, swivels. Car is actually my first car that I got when I was 17. Bought it as the second owner in 1990. Drove it all through college and a little after but has been parked for quite a few years. Been back at it for about 4 months or so. Vinyl top that developed a leak and killed the top so I found a donor and spliced it in. Doors, fenders, trunk, and lots of small parts stripped to bare metal and are at the body shop going into prime in the next week or so. Now to start on the body doing some patch panels and get it ready for quarters. Lots of work to do on a long project but have some unique ideas for it.

Welcome! It looks like you have a really cool and rare car to do a resto on.
I shure wish I still had my first car. Keep up the good work and be shure to post pictures as you get more work done.
Thanks Graham

Re: New from Kentucky
Like said above, thanks for saving another one. Nothing sadder than having to scrap a car from this generation. I had to scrap a '77 Elco Classic that I bought new.

Re: New from Kentucky
Love to see another 73 BB being restored, You didn't specify if it's an automatic or 4 speed, also did you find a build sheet?

Re: New from Kentucky
It is an automatic. I will start a build thread and post pics as I make progress for those that wish to keep up.
