Trbulnc, I am quite impressed with your past and present projects. I have a 540 in my 74 Elky that I had built for 95% street use. It does not have as long a stroke as some other big blocks and revs like crazy on the street. It has plenty of torque for a bore inspired engine. I am posting because of the comment about large cubic inch engines on the street. JB

Thanks. I really appreciate that. I am by no means exceptionally talented just not afraid to try things and have an eye for details.

I had quoted another 540 Bottom end as it was a blast in my last car especially with the Pro charger but there isn't much price difference between a 540 and 632

I haven't heard of a 632. What block do you start with ? Gotta be LONG stroke ! Very Happy

I had a '73 coupe some years ago.

I like your statement . Not exceptionally talented just not afraid to try things and an eye for detail . A bit modest maybe . Sometimes what i am posting seems like bragging on my car the truth is i am so happy/suprised it came out i want to show the world LOL .
I take your approach to building cars but if i kept the things that didnt work out i would have a pretty good size pile of junk over the years .I only show the stuff that did work .

Great job on the car look forward to see its progress .

My didn't work pile is pretty big too. Here are a few pictures. Progress a little slow the last 2 weeks but my buddy and I are flipping a house and getting it ready to go back on the market. Fenders and doors coming along well. Have a big patch panel test fit and getting close for trim and install. Weather is supposed to be warm this weekend so I plan on getting some priming done on the body.

Few update pics. Have primer on the car. Doing some sheet metal work now. Splicing some sections

Before and after pic of core using just rust converter. Prepped for the rust inhibitor coat now. Big difference

Backside of a splice panels just to show before and after of the rust converter. Ready for sealer now

Got lucky on the donor car for my top. They were perfect so I cut them out too. They fit up super nice.

Few update pics. Starting to work my panels in and get some shape. Lots of welding, grinding, shaping and repeat. Some detail work left then quarters next on the list
