Found a camshaft!!!
So after a few weeks of research, I've decided to go with the Edelbrock Torker camshaft.

I know I need to get a new timing chain, springs, and pushrods, and here's what I've found:

I've got a discount code for $50 off purchases over $150 through Advance Auto, so I'm splitting it up into two orders, so essentially getting $375 worth for $275. Does anyone know of anything else that would need to be purchased that I might be forgetting? (I already have a 4 bbl Edelbrock carb I plan on reusing and am going to get a new intake manifold a little later down the road)

Re: Found a camshaft!!!
What pistons are you using ? The compression ratio will need to be above 9 or so to 1, or that cam will not perform. You may want to email or call Edelbrock or even Summit Racing tech line, before buying that one. If you have stock 8.5 to 1 CR, that's too much cam I believe, and will not add much or any power.

Re: Found a camshaft!!!
IF YOUR RUNNING AN AUTO TRANS. YOU'LL NEED A 2200-2500 STALL CONVERTOR, TIMING GEAR SET DOES NOT MATTER ( HEADS UP ON THE MARKS THOUGH) IF I WERE YOU I'D STEP UP ON THE SPRING PRESSURE BY 100, HYD. TAPPET CAMS LIKE THAT IF YOU WON'T TO BE ABLE TO REV..?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!wokrdan AKA BU Balls wrote:So after a few weeks of research, I've decided to go with the Edelbrock Torker camshaft.
