1973 Chevelle Laguna
As much as it pains me to do so here is the ad for the Chevelle. If you all followed the build thread I had going you know I did a bunch to this before my injury. As I posted in that thread I suffered a serious back injury a few years ago and have to finally admit I wont be able to finish the car. I have done a bunch and whilst it is a project it is a running driving "cruise-able" project. This is one of those my loss your gain deals. I am offering it up to the G3GM crowd first just for what I have in it as far as parts go etc.
A brief overview:
Suspension gone through and everything worn or torn was replaced. Some old some new everything works well.
Interior partly completed - seats both re-upholstered, package shelf recovered, new carpet. Plastic panels out for refinishing currently - I have the SEMS dye. I also have a new coverlay for the dash.
the original engine has been rebuilt at a local shop that does SE nascar circuit work. It was rebuilt to the local 350/350 rules (its called the corvette racing engine package around here) with a dual plane intake and edelbrock carb for street friendly manners. Long tube ceramic coated headers and 2.5 inch stainless dual exhaust. Engine has less than 50 miles. Broken in properly and has had zinc added for the cam protection. Even with the stock gears its good for a 5-6 second 0-60 which for the record is peppy and fun
Trans, suspension, and rear end are all stock except for air shocks in the rear with an easy to reach port in the trunk.
Faithful replica steering wheel - real walnut, stainless spokes, and brass rivets with a hard to find tricolor Chevy horn button
Ceramic booted plug wires and shorty spark plugs - no more burning stuff on the headers
Nitto G555 tires on Ridler 675 polish alum 17 inch wheels
Brand new A6 A/C compressor for R134 in the box for the car
I think it needs paint and that was next on my list before the injury. Its fine at 10ft but any closer and you can see the last paint job it had before I got it was done poorly.
Just replaced the front pads and flex lines because the old rubber lines had perished. Brake work great now better than expected for being stock.
New light weight high torque mini starter - the new motors high compression killed the original starter, no worries now
Ask questions if interested and Ill do my best to get back as quick as I can. There is doubtless more I'm forgetting at this point.
$12,000 is close enough to what I have in it and thats what I'm asking here and here only. I stopped counting at 12 and certainly don't tell the better half I have more in it lol. If no one wants it here I understand and it will go on the general market for considerably more soon if I don't hear anything here. I'm not parting it out or separating anything. This is a package deal the car and whatever parts I've found and scrounged in the last 4 or 5 years which is mostly extra interior plastics which are impossible to find.
If someone here does want it and needs a few weeks to work out the details I can work with you just give me a holler. this isn't a fire sale, just need to let go of this dream and move on ...

Re: 1973 Chevelle Laguna
Thanks Limey. If memory serves I got the headers from you and boy do they work great
Also, just for the G3GM crowd ... I will consider partial trades with cash. I could use a good commuter as I just started back working for the first time since my injury. As much as I love my big hemi in my ram the fuel economy leaves a bit to be desired lol. I will put more value on fun (manual trans) and economical (4cylinders probably) and reliable. I would want at least some cash with it unless its a 4cyl turbo convertible mustang or a boxter that has had it's IMS replaced and is documented/warranted.

Re: 1973 Chevelle Laguna
Ugh...if the time were right. My first Chevelle was a '73 Laguna...same color as yours. I searched high and low for another one before I bought my '68 and couldn't find one.
