In the past I have always heard & read nothing but positive things on conventional Sensatracs. Some have even claimed they are just as good as the higher priced performance brands. I would think this would hold true to their load assist versions. I have had the usual Sensatracs on my truck for past 3yrs & 20k miles without any complaints. Stays firm & planted to the road conditions without a harsh ride.

They're only like $50.00/ea. I think I'm going with these & repainting the springs. They claim to maintain the ride height w/ heavier loads then I'll hopefully ever see (unless some relatives come out for a cruise).

Very Happy

Does your car sit lower than you like? If you are going through the trouble of removing the springs to repaint them, why not just get new springs and the regular sensatracs?

If you don't add weight to you car, I can pretty much predict that it will ride like an empty grain truck with these overload shocks.

Not enough movement then?

I'm looking for sturdy but certainly don't want to drive an empty box truck, LOL.

Paul,I had those on my 73 when I first bought it, it handled poorly and didnt ride as good as it could but not terrible. I replaced them with gr2 KYB's and new springs. Much better.

Thanks gentlemen much appreciated.. Suspension equipment is not something I've looked at much but something I plan on finishing during the winter months.
