my nominee for ride of the week
Here is my 74 chevelle. I have more pics but I don't have a computer at home and the the pos computer at work really makes posting pics difficult. it has the original 350 with the usual hot rod upgrades, the trans is built, and the original rearend is fitted with 373 gears and a powertrax locker. the interior is out of a 76 cutlass. (bucket seat) with a hurst dual gate shifter. I tucked the bumpers and shaved the fender emblems before it was painted. (1972 mulstaine blue)

That's a sweet car. Ever burn yourself on the side pipes getting in and out?

Re: my nominee for ride of the week
One or twice. My bigger issue is my 5 year old daughter using them as running boards.

Well, on the bright side, at least she doesn't weight too much, right?

Maybe 50 lbs. Not enough to damage them.

Re: my nominee for ride of the week
Thanks. In 1978 my dad bought a new car(78 catalina) to replace a 73 chevelle and he bought those wheels for the pontiac. I got the car (and the wheels) while in high school. The pontiac is long gone. I resisted putting the slots on this car for years. (It had nugget mags when i got it then corvette 15/8 rallys). When i decided to go retro with the side pipes, what would be better than slot mags? Think i:as my tribute to the motion performance 73 chevelle.

Re: my nominee for ride of the week
Thanks all for the kind words. I've had it for 19 years, buying it when I was 19 years old. I always wanted a 73/74 chevelle or Monte Carlo when i was a kid. (I think because my dad would take me to the local circle track and i thought they looked cool as race cars so i wanted one for a hot rod)
