Lucky Sox....lucky drawers, lucky hoodie, lucky hat, lucky wifie...LOL
Last time we went to a play-off, JD Drew hit a Grand Salami in the ALCS vs "Fausto".
Oh yea, lucky J D Drew shirt too (his brother, current SS, has the same number 7 so you get a two for one).
How'd those Bronx Bombers do this year? The Met's still in it?

When I lived in Milwaukee one of the best things about the summer was tailgating before and after Brewers games (even though I'm not a fan of them) it was still fun to go.

We can't tailgate @ Fenway, the park is in the middle of the city but there are a boatload of bars in & near it. The Patriots is another story or a good concert at the stadium.

I'm sorry...but I HATE A-rod. Poor sport & a friggin cheater like Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark Maguire & Manny Ramirez. I think all their "records" need to be expunged from MLB.
Reggie Jackson was one of my favorite players growing up, as is Derek Jeter now. I also like & respect Mariano Riviera. They are the soft spoken & "get it done" types who are not ego-maniacs, like most of our entire team is this year. Mr. October is a wicked car collector too, which just makes me like him even more. I have a pic somewhere of RJ & Yaz shaking hands when Yaz retired.

Re: d:-{)}
Congrats on the Sox win. I hear what you say about the soft spoken ones who get it done. I went to the Barrett - Jackson every year when I moved out here for about ten years in a row. When they were still small and in the old location, you could sit anywhere you wanted even during the auctions. I went to the 2nd row and sat down in the middle. About ten minutes later, Reggie came and sat one seat away with an empty seat between us. I watched him buy an early Jaguar E type and a 70 Chevelle. He was really nice, and talked to me like he knew me from school or something. So I am just saying, you don't have to be a "big shot" to be the best at something. Treat others as you would yourself...that is all.

Thanks. When I was a kid I met Mr. October at Fenway. He came around signing baseballs & programs after batting practice & there was always a clutch of Sox fans that had respect for him & would wish him luck ("but not too much luck") when he came to town. He was one of the best ever clutch players in his prime. I'll never forget the WS game that he hit those three home runs w/ the Yanks. I like him even more now because he's also an avid car guy & you're right, he doesn't act like a big-shot. Great guy.
