Re: COREYS73CHEVELLE.
ok found out the fuel pump was wrong, instructions say to have IN towards engine OUT towards TANK but i took off my fuel line to the carb urned it on and put a finger on the fuel line and felt it sucking air in to the tank so i switch the pump around now i have good flow to the engine.
tried firing it but my battery is crap so its trickle charging overnight, took #1 wire off and cranked it with finger on the wire and barly feel anything so either it from the battery being low or im thinking the coil might be crap. any ideas?

Re: COREYS73CHEVELLE.
Charge up the battery first. Did you ever check to see if you have a resistor in the power lead to you ignition? What ignition system are you using?

Re: COREYS73CHEVELLE.
Congratulations on getting it running! I am curious on the video comment though.
"fuel pump was a gift and nobody though about it but it is set to stay at 14psi and it flod the motor thats why it died. yes i have a regulator on it but it wont go down the pump is too much for it. "
Is the regulator bad? A regulator is just a valve. You should be able to shut off the flow completely with it. I find it hard to believe the pump is too much for the regulator unless it's bad. I have an Aeromotive A1000 on mine, and the regulator has no problems keeping it in check.

Re: COREYS73CHEVELLE.
WELL you all probobly know now i no longer have the Chevelle. my new project will be fast soon though lolz.
planning a Cummins 12 Valve 6BT from a 1995-2001 Dodge Ram, Mated to a Allison 1000 with fleece tapshift. after all is in. a trans build and industrial injection Silver Bullet Turbo will replace the stock turbo and of course the other engine stuff to use it well. putting it in the 12's is the plan on #2 Diesel only....if i dont sell it by then already had 3 random people stop and ask if i was selling it.

Re: COREYS73CHEVELLE.
just installed a ORD sway bar correction kit with quick disconnects- the kit has new poly bushings and raises the sway bar up 2" to reduce bind cuased by lift kits. also has a mount for the bumpstop to disconnect the sway for offroading for better articulation.

and ordered some LED cab roof lights for the lund visor (need to paint visor) 5 lights with 9 led's in each.
[img][/img]
[img][/img]
next is new ball joints!
then ill start getting engine stuff. like:
-ORD high clearance engine crossmember- it gives more clearance and weight drop and is stronger than stock/ reinforces the frame.
-4 core aluminum radiator with dual elctric fans
-safari snorkle for a toyota 80 series (90s land rover)
-motor mount plates
-LQ9/ecu tuned with EFI live
-Monster's Mega SS 4L80E transmission.
-Dana 60 with crossover steering???
-ARB air lockers with 4:56 gears
-cowl hood

lq9 is sick...have you thought about a duramax swap?

Re: COREYS73CHEVELLE.
I believe the Duramax is 300 pounds heavier than the LQ9. I would check to make sure before I put in a Duramax. JB

Re: COREYS73CHEVELLE.
If you're lookng at a less expensive alternative, you can get an LQ9/ 4L80E transmission with the full factory wiring harness for cheaper than the cost of all that stuff separately.
