Nice car. Do I see a vinyl top? If so, get rid of it ASAP! Paint the metal roof the same color as the lower half. I hope you are not too late. JB

looks like it used to be a vinyl top but someone removed it. I think he primered where it used to be.

Nice ride! I'm not a fan of quad headlights, but other than that it looks pretty clean. Lovin the maroon, one of the colors I'd rather have.

Alright no one laugh at this question cause I found a running L69 for $100! How are you liking the rebuilt 305 compared to stock? Gas mileage, performance, etc.........
Seems like the cam is rather large unless you bumped the compression up.

well this new 305 seems alright if i could get the studder out of it any thing less then 2k rpm and it spudders for a bit play wiht the pedal it goes away so i dunno. and i really just bought this 305 to get by i didnt do the cam i just swapped parts offf of my old 305 on to this one and dropped it in it was the rigth price at the right time Smile i gotta do some minor distributor repairs i believe over all im happy with my 305 till it dies then i go bigger oo and blackchevelless was right no vinyl it was removed so i primed it

That stutter could be caused from the cam. 224/234 duration @.50 on 8.5:1 or lower static compression isn't a good combination. I'm just going on the assumption of 8.5 static & your dynamic compression would be down at 6.4:1 which is way too low. you want to be around 7.2 - 7.5 for a good daily driver. I suspect changing your cam to something milder will help your stutter since that cam doesn't even come on until about 2,200 rpm which is when you say the stutter stops. Could also be the carb needing rebuilt or adjusted, but I'm leaning towards the cam.

I'm in a similar situation, my 305 is getting weaker by the day & I found an L69 for cheap. L69 305s had 9.5:1 compression & 416 heads, so it should be a step up at least. I'll probably wait until I find a decent 350 for cheap though.
